The thermal springs

Loutra Edipsou is one of the best-known spa towns in Greece. More than 80 hot springs rise from deep underground, rich in minerals and trace elements, and people have come to bathe in them since antiquity. Aristotle wrote about the waters, and Roman emperors came here to rest.
Bathing in the sea
Along the waterfront, hot spring water runs straight into the sea, so you can sit where the warm water meets the cool. These spots are open to everyone all year round, including winter, when steam rises off the water.
Spas and hydrotherapy
The town has a public hydrotherapy centre as well as hotel spas with thermal pools, mud baths and massages. The most famous is Thermae Sylla, in a listed building from 1896. Behind the hydrotherapy centre you can see the old baths and caves named after the Roman general Sulla.
Staying a week or more
Many guests come for a course of thermal baths and stay a week or longer. Every one of our rooms has a kitchenette, which makes longer stays easy. Message us to ask about weekly stays.
